Annual Back to School Bash Highlights Oral Health

Did you know that an estimated 51 million school hours per year are lost due to dental-related illness? On August 5, 2017, the Fresno chapter of Project Save A Mouth participated in Sierra Vista Mall’s 2nd Annual Back to School Bash that impacted the community by the thousands! Dr. Kheradpir and staff drew in the crowd with a fun and educational booth that showcased a presentation on the importance of oral hygiene and handed out 250 goodie bags filled with oral hygiene products and informational, kid-friendly flyers. Alongside their team were additional leaders in the community working to make a difference for those in need. Volunteers from the mall and Clovis Police Department handed out free backpacks filled to the brim with school supplies to help prepare local families for the upcoming school year. The community-based event was a great opportunity for the Fresno chapter to further bring awareness about how to take care of your teeth and prevent future issues.
